High ceilings with large windows allow for natural light, and acoustically insulated partition walls ensure privacy. An exceptional art institution, encompassing German neoclassical architecture and design.

Karl Friedrich Schinkel's approach to classical planning combined with the importance of his buildings relationship to the landscape and courtyard has resulted in a classical rigour and context that permeates throughout the new wing of the Fermoy House. Schinkel's 'Pomona Temple' has inspired the reconstruction of a pavilion in which visitors are stunned with entrance to a light filled, contemporary lobby and met with stylised facades and a museum that is the antithesis of curation and neoclassical design. Celebrated designer Victor Papenek notes that 'the only important thing is how it relates to people’ as the composition inspires and illuminates the relationship between beauty and design.
